Spiritual Opportunities:

Sunday Worship: Join us Sundays at 10:00 a.m. for a beautiful worship service. Stay afterwards for a cup of coffee and a snack in the Social Hall. Come and enjoy the fellowship. 

Highlighted Services: 04/02 – Palm Sunday Service 10:00 a.m., 04/06 – Maundy Thursday Service, meal 6:00 p.m., program 6:30 p.m., worship 7:00 p.m., 04/07 – Good Friday Service 7:00 p.m., 04/09 – Easter Sunday Service 10:00 a.m.

Ongoing Bible study: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, starting at 6:30 p.m. An ongoing exploration of the biblical text, designed to expand your understanding of the bible to add meaning and depth to your own life of faith.

Congregational Retreat: Join us for a spirit filled day on Saturday, March 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Membership Class: Exploring membership class part one, Mar 26 and part two Apr 2. Class will be held after worship. 

Theology in the Movies: 

Lenten Series – Liberation in Repentance: Thursday evenings starting Mar 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Apr 6, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. As we celebrate the season of Lent, we will meet for a communal meal (soup and bread), share in some worship and explore repentance as a liberative expression of faithfulness. Meal at 6:00 p.m., program at 6:30 p.m., worship at 7:00 p.m.

What Does the Bible Say About LGBTQ People? 4 week class Thursday, May 4,11,18 & 25 at 6:00 p.m. This 4 week class explores what the bible does (and does not) say about LGBTQ people.  It also explores why lots of folks think it does say something, and how to truly understand those texts.

Understanding Suffering, the Bible, and Why Bad Things Happen to Good People: 4 week class Thursday June 8,15, 22, 29 at 6:00 p.m. This class explores the book of Job, the idea of human suffering (theodicy) and how we can understand why bad things happen – even when we’re faithful and pray.

Racism and Christianity: 3 week class Thursday July 13, 20, 27 at 6:00 p.m. This class looks at racism in America, and the intersectionality of this social experience and the role of the church and of each of us as followers of Jesus.

The Epistles: 4 week class Thursday Aug 10, 17, 24, 31 at 6:00 p.m. We’ll survey the letters from the early church, and explore the rich meaning these letters have for us, even 2000 years later!!


Prayer Team: Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Weekly meeting praying for individuals in the church and the community. Also learning about prayer and spiritual growth. Lift yourself and others in prayer!

SJAMCC Choir Rehearsal: Choir rehearsal every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. 


Other Activities:

Bridge:  What to learn or play Bridge? Come and meet new friends and join the fun. Cards are played on Wednesday starting at 1:00 p.m.

SWFL Gay and Lesbian Chorus: Rehearsal every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in choir room. 

SJAMCC Spring Yard Sale: Saturday, April 22nd from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Dean’s Food Pantry open every Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – Noon

Lee County Health Department http://lee.floridahealth.gov/ the 1st Thursday each month, 9:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Trans Life Group meets 3rd Saturday of the month,   10:30 a.m. – Noon

The GET Network www.get-it.network (transgender support group) meets the first Saturday of each month, 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
