Pastor Steve has been pastor of Saint John the Apostle since 2003. His roots are in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Being raised Roman Catholic, Steve’s original call to ministry was with the Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular. During his studies, Steve was the best man at his brother’s wedding. It was there he met Tom Becker, his partner and they have shared their life together for over 30 years. In 2000, they added to their family with adoption of their son, Alex.
After years as a computer programmer and analyst, Steve returned to ministry, this time within MCC. He completed is M.Div. degree at Lancaster Theological Seminary and was ordained MCC Clergy in 1999. After serving churches in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Steve accepted the call to be Pastor of St. John the Apostle MCC in Ft. Myers.
|Kurt has been the Congregational Administrator at Saint John the Apostle since February 2011.
He was born and raised in Wisconsin. At age 19 he decided to move to the warm climate of Florida. Fifteen years later he now resides in North Fort Myers with his partner Jack.
Kurt attended Southwest Florida College and graduated in 2007 with his Associates degree in Accounting. Previously he has worked as a Store Manager for Sunglass Hut (a branch of Luxottica Retail), the Bombay Company, and a former business owner. Kurt’s customer service background and organizational skills make him a great asset to Saint John the Apostle.
